Jon has illustrated over 30 children's books, including the self-penned Aarvark's Picnic (Macmillan) and Bones books (Walker Books). Jon also designs packaging, greetings cards (Thortful)and posters for many publishers including Methuen, Macdonald, Michael O'Mara, interactive BBC Jam (animation art), BBC Cbeebies, Sainsburys (Christmas designs 2006), Tesco (Easter eggs), 85 Four/Dubai Health Authority, Paperchase, Early Learning Centre (Birthday Club gift pack as well as online games), Mothercare, (in-store Christmas graphics and Jigsaw puzzles). Leapfrog San Fransisco, Michael O'Mara, John Brown Citrus, Yellow Door, FoxKaloMaski and WelcometoSocial. In March 2010 Jon teamed up with Dipali Vaidya (app developer) and launched his series of Elly the Reindeer apps which were downloaded over 29,000 times and charted in the top 100 iPad books in over 40 countries as well as working with Tizio app developers in Amsterdam on books and games.

Jon  illustrated  for BBC Childrens magazines from 2000 to 2021 working on titles such as Learning is Fun and Cbeebies weekly. Jon has also illustrated for numerous educational publishers including Cambridge University Press and more recently for QBS in New York.

Jon is also a sessional lecturer in illustration and design, and teaches BA students at East Sussex College, Hastings, and at the University of Brighton. In October 2020 Jon received a Distinction for his Masters Degree in Sequential design and Illustration at the University of Brighton. A keen photographer Jon has also been busy with   Antique Jewellery photo shoots for Friar House since 2021 and taken the occasional wedding.

He lives in East Sussex with his partner Katie and daughter Holly. Jon is also a keen photographer and has his own dark room and studio set up.
